Victoria Stapleton Violin
Victoria studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama where she gained an LWCMD and PG Dip, both with distinction. She was an annual prize-winner and was privileged to have a variety of inspiring teachers; James Clarke, Dona-Lee Croft and Nick Whiting. Following her graduation in 2002 she was selected for a Socrates exchange to Australia at the Newcastle Conservatorium studying with Elizabeth Holowell.
Victoria's professional career combines an exciting mix of performing and teaching. She has undertaken extra work and trials with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and the English Symphony Orchestra and performed with artists including Dame Kiri te Kanawa, Bryn Terfel, Katherine Jenkins, Michael Collins and Kanye West. As well as freelancing with various orchestras, Victoria also enjoys a wide variety of session work and has appeared on albums by Mike Peters, Lucky Soul, Poney Express, D.E.R Collective, Fredrika Stahl and most recently, Slowly Rolling Camera.
In addition to the Palmer Ensemble, Victoria also enjoys perfoming with the Akina String Quartet, of which she is a founding member. She is passionate about inspiring pupils to learn the violin and teaches violin and viola for Berkshire Maestros.
